The Territory

The territory

A few kilometers far

A few kilometers far from Caltagirone, on 400 meters above sea level, the vineyards of fifty years old of Nero d'Avola and Frappato of Valle delle Ferle, grown with very low yields per hectare, today in biologic, extend for about 10 hectares within the ``Cerasuolo di Vittoria`` Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin area.
The seniority of the grapevines is an important distinctive element, thanks to the greater ability to express the characteristics of the territory, an added value to the environmental qualities that are represented by the pedoclimatic characteristics of the territory, ideal for the cultivation of the grapevines.
The strong ventilation, typical of the area, reduces the risk of developing diseases of the grapevine; the temperature changes, accentuated in the different seasons and between night and day, give the wine a rich and elegant aromatic kit; the exposure of the grapevines, constantly illuminated by the sun during the day, and the climate, usually dry during the ripening period of the grapevines, give wines of great consistency and structure.

AN ANCIENT PALMENTO

The modernity immersed
in the tradition
